this is one of the best educational game on the market and very entertaining. I purchased 2 of them , it has provided loads of fun and learning for the kids. The fact that you can plug it in and go on-line makes it even better hours and hours of fun while learning

My 6 year old son had the Leapster L-max game system for 2years. He used it almost on a daily basis! The bottom half of the screen started freezing, you couldn’t touch anything, it made it really hard to play. So, we decided since he loved it so much, and really did take such good care of it, we would get him a new one for his birthday. I decided to upgrade to the Leapster 2 because some of the new games have extra things on them you can only do with the Leapster 2. I am so glad we got it! He was so excited and once again, plays it almost on a daily basis! My husband and I have always been extremely happy with the quality of Leapster products and we love all of the educational games we have to choose from. Our son hardly knows the games are educational they are so much fun!! We will continue to buy Leapster products for years to come!

My 3.5 year son loves it. The only drawback is the battery runs out pretty quickly if he plays with it daily or forgot to turn it off.

The preinstalled games are “Dragons to the Rescue”. The first game is just a digital art game — simple but innocent. The second game is the reason we took it back. It is supposed to be a learning game where the Dragons collect crystals and answer questions to build words or numbers. But at the beginning there is a mean storm cloud that evily says, “I HATE the sun and all the pretty colors.” He goes on to laugh wickedly. I’m sure this game is considered “tame” to many other computer games, but frankly, I was shocked knowing this was a Leapfrog product. I guess I assumed the pre-installed games would be Tad and Lily and Professor learning to spell or something like their videos. I called customer service to see if the games could be removed, but was told they can’t be. My husband and I both thought it was inappropriate for our five year old daughter. We will be looking for something else.
